Hello there,
My computer was down for a while and it was over 10 years old , so I bought a new one.
All so I am a new member of a coin club ( The Numismatist ) It ties in to Genealogy for me.
I now try to find coins that some of my Ancestors could of had. And at the same time I am finding out that a lot of coins is worth a lot of money. I just found a 1986 D Quarter that is worth $10.00, and I have a few SBA Dollars that is worth $ 3.00 each. I went down to a book store and bought a coin Book it gives you the brices of coins. If you have coins in your pockets you may have more money than you think you have.
Take a look on the internet and look up coins.
Good luck

Genealogy : Genealogy Telepathy
Genealogy Telepathy is communication from your ancestors to you as they are trying to help you learn more about them. I have had this happen to me while I would be looking for an ancestor or trying to finding something about them. I would work hours checking records and I couldnot find what I was looking for then I would lean back in my chair and take a nap and then it would happen , I would hear a voice telling me where to look for what I was looking for. And I would find what I was looking for.
At first I thought It was just me but one day I was talking to a friend in the Library that said the same thing has happen to him also. I am a member of Genealogy clubs in other states and I have asked other members
if this has happen to any of them and a lot of them said yes it did.
I would like to know if this Genealogy Telepathy has happen to you ?
I know that it is not something that you can just turn on and off any time you wish It take a lot of hard work and concentration.
Well let me know If Genealogy Telepathy has happen to you.

Genealogy: Joining a Genealogy Club
If you have been doing your family Genealogy for a while you know that you could use some help at times.
I found that when I joined a Genealogy Club here in Pueblo Colorado I was able to get a lot of help from other members I also joined clubs in other States that I knew my Ancestors had lived in. All of the Genealogy clubs put out a news letter that they send out to their members. In the club meeting you can ask for help in finding your ancestors. If you could go to a meeting it would help you , most meeting are on weekends . Join a Genealogy club , I am a member of 6 genealogy Clubs.

Genealogy : Maps of your family Roots
I like to know more about where my ancestors came from on a map. Yes you can learn more about your family by tracing where they lived on a map. My Ancestors came from England and landed in Salem Mass. in 1635 and in 1680 some of them moved to New Jersey ,and then after the War with England in 1780 some of them moved to Virginia and into Tennessee and then in 1804 some of them moved in to Ohio. then in 1826 some of them moved in to Indiana.
If you read the history of your ancestors and you put the routs of their journeys on maps you will get a better understanding of how your ancestors had to live day by day.

Genealogy : If you can't find a Ancestor don't give up Hope.
I had one Ancestor and his Wife and two sons that I could not find after 1880 .
My G-Grand father Dr. Thomas Antrim had a large farm in Jasper County Indaina. That he gave a share to each of his Children in 1880 . But only one son said that he would stay and work the farm all the other children said that they would sell their share of the farm so the son that stayed on the farm bought the shares of his Sisters and Brothers.
My Grandfather and his sisters and brothers that sold their shares of the farm moved to Towns in and around Jasper county, Indiana. all but one he and his family dropped out of site.
I started doing genealogy in 1994 and It only took me about a year to check where my father and Grandfather lived in Indiana. I also found where the family farm was.
I hit a brick wall when I tried to find my G-Uncle Mahlon Francis Antrim and his Wife Marie and their two sons Mahlon Grant and William Francis Antrim , I thought I had looked everwhere for them I checked all of the Genealogy clubs in all of the states I could not find them , so I went to work looking for my other ancestors 8 years later I traced my ancestors back to 1635 Salem Masachusetts.
One day I was checking my e-mail when I seen this name Mahlon Terry Antrim , He said Mr Antrim I Think My GG grandfather is your Great Uncle Mahlon Francis Antrim . And he was right ,
Mahlon went on to say that my Great Uncle went to Canada to live in 1880.
I have Family Tree Maker program and a Family Tree Maker Home Page on the internet and that
is how Mahlon Terry Antrim from Alberta Canada seen my home page and found out that My Great Uncle and his G-G-grandfather is the same person. So don't give up hope when looking for your ancestors
And with the help of Family Tree Maker we are finding our ancestors.

Genealogy: Help your Descendants find out more about you.
If your into doing your family Genealogy you know how hard it is sometimes to find out things about some of your ancestors.
Well you can make it much easyer for your descendants to find more about you if you would take a little time and keep notes for them. I have a note book that I keep by my computer and ever so often I will write into it something that I did that day or that week.
If you think oh I don't want ever one to know about me. They do, Out there in the world your information
is for any one to see, If you have been to a Doctor's office or any place were you had to fill out papers
your information is out there.
It only takes a little of your time and it will help your descendants out. after you have writen in your
note book ever so often put that information onto a C.D. and then mark your C.D.
Yours truly

Genealogy: Keeping Good Genealogy Records
One of the first things you need for keeping your Genealogy records is a good 2 or 3 in 3 hole binder I started with a 1 in binder but it was filled real soon , So get you two or three binders and also get you a pack of 100 Beautone Sheet protectors To cover your Family group sheets , You will like them .

Basis Genealogy ( Our Mother's Day )
( Our Mother's Day )
Chrismas comes with good will and cheer Festivities and fun on the year
On Easter Sunday in Prayer we abide Our Savior in that day was Crucified.
When Memorial Day comes we bow our head in humble respect for our solders dead.
Fourth of July our forefathers did decree that this was the home of the brave and the free.
And we give thanks on Thanksgiving Day, That we have the chance to live that way.
But there is one day we must not forget it is a day that each one of us beget
Weather we are near or weather far away we should always remember when it's
Mother Day.

Basic Genealogy In Veteran Homes and Old age Homes
While I am waiting to see if I will have any one write a bout their Family Genealogy I have something that I would like to talk about that is Genealogy for people that is in Veteran Homes and old age Homes , They have a lot of time on their hands and I know that they would love to have some one to talk to about their life
I know that the VA can't do it ,
But Volunteers could like Hight School Students or Boy Scouts and some of us that have retired and yes maybe The Kof C and may be some of the Lodges and maybe we could get some of the Churchs to help as Volunteers and may be we could get the LDS church to help with some of the records taking . About theVeteran homes someone told me that the VA was trying to get as much information from the Vet that they could but they did not have the people to do it.
The Volunteers would need to have lap-top computers and cell phones maybe we could get Apple or Microsoft ,Dell ,Gateway or HP to help us with the hardware and yes that's too much to ask I don't think Bill Gates would look our way. I know that they are a lot of good people out there that would give us a hand if they could . I know I can get some Kof C Volunteers to help at our Old age Homes here in Pueblo, Colorado. and at Walsenburg VA Hospital.
We would need to get a Group to back us Say like the AARP or The Goverment, That part was a joke. I would like to talk to someone about this .
I have had a lot of help in the last 12 years with my home page at antrimfamilynewsletter.com At first I had a hard time getting a Genealogy Home Page but then after I had a home page with The Pueblo Chieftain newspaper here in Colorado. Family Tree Maker gave me a Home page with them and the LDS Library in Salt Lake City Helped me out a lot and now Google is helping me with setting up my Clyde Antrim's Blog
I do thank all of the people that has help me with my Homepages and Blog site. With my Gateway computer and H.P. Photosmart C5180 All-in one Printer- Copier I can put out the Genealogy reports and link it to my home page with Family Tree Maker on the internet.
I thank every one that has help me in the past 12 years.
This would not only help the people in the Homes, but would also help the High School Students and
Boy Scout Volunteers. P.S . We would need to Talk to the Schools about the Student Volunteers
Well that was just wishfull thinking

The Tender Touch
A Nurse's work is never done very seldom does she see the sun, She treats each patient as her son ,
She ask not for glory or for fame But only to heal the weak and the lame, with love and kindness and a tender touch she heals the wounds that hurts so much.

What is Life
What is Life, Some say life is what you make it. But some times this is not true. For try as hard as you may There are some things you can not do But if we knew what we were to do a day or two ahead there would surely be a day or so that we would stay in bed
Antrim Family News by Clyde V Antrim
I am new at this Bloging , But I have had a Home Page on the internet .
At ( antrimfamilynewsletter.com ) It is a Genealogy home page I started it in 1998 with the Pueblo Chiftain news Paper. Here in Colorado, I would put out a 4 page newsletter a month and with the help of many people , My readers would send in their family history and in time I was puting out 10 to 12 pages of Antrim familyGenealogy news, We did Ancestors Decscendants
of the first Antrim family that came to America in 1635. It was a big Job ever month sending out the news letters to our reader and puting it out on the internet. I still have a Home page on the internet but I stopped sending out the newsletter by mail.
My brother Tom told me that I could use a Blog with Google and do the same thing as I was doing with my home page , So I am giving a try. If any one is reading this drop me a E-mail at cvantrim@aculink.net . I'll have Poems items from new and old newsletters.

" A Name The Same As Mine"
I never knew I had kin with the same last name as mine. For my father had told me what had been on his mind. A long time ago his sister and two brothers had pased a way, This I could see was hard for him to say. After many years I began to wonder who were my Grand parents that had the last name the same as mine. As looking for a needle in a hay stack which would be easier to find than looking for my Grand-parents that had the last name the same as mine.
After checking records and reading many books back in 1635 a man with the same last name as mine came to America to seek freedom and plant seeds of hope.
Through out history I now do find many a men with the last name the same as mine.
Their deeds through out history I read with much pride with friends and neighbors and God on their side they fought the red coats they did not run or hide.
Later in history their sons would ride to do battle to set all men free.
These men came from all walks of life from cites and farms some large and some small.
I can honestly say with much pride it makes me feel about ten feet tall.
When I began to look for my family tree I only had a seed I not only found the tree but a forest of people with a last name the same as mine.
I am proud to be an Antrim

Hello there,
I don't know if this will ever be read This is a first for me, I don't know what a Blogger is let alone be writing in it. When is the first time that we start think about what are we going to do in life? I know that for me when I was a preteen I wanted to be a teenager and then I wanted to be 21 then It was to be 26 It went on like that untill I got to 50 and then It was to get to 65
And to retire from work . Now I just wish I had some of them years back. One of the things that I have learned is to meet each day as it comes.
Oh yes don't waste your days make each day count and learn everthing that you can. and never put yourself down you can do and learn as much as you put your mind to it.
I never thought that I could do some of the thing that I did do untill I gave it a try. I think getting older helpped in doing that.
